What is Aktion CLOUD?
Aktion CLOUD is a state-of-the-art online attendance and access control system. All data and the program itself run on super powerful and secure servers from Microsoft - in the cloud.
This means you don't have to worry about any servers, installation or maintenance. Everything is already set up and you just connect via the internet wherever you are. So all you need is an internet connection and you can start using the system.
What if the internet goes down? Will Aktion be running?
Even if the internet goes down, the Aktion CLOUD system still works. The sensors record attendance and accesses as usual, but the data is temporarily stored in their own memory. Each sensor can hold up to 130,000 records. Once the internet is restored, all data is automatically sent to the cloud.
But beware - during an internet outage but you can't access online features like the web interface, tablet or mobile apps.
What happens in the event of a power outage?
The entire system can be easily backed up using a standard UPS. In the event of a power failure, all devices of the attendance and access control system are backed up within one circuit (sensors, locks, switches, etc.).
Does a program have to be installed on the device (computer) or not?
No, there is no need to install any software. You can access your account online using a standard web browser from any computer or mobile device with an internet connection.
How is the data secured?
All employee data is stored in the Microsoft Azure cloud provider's database and is regularly backed up and archived. This cloud platform meets high European standards for data protection and privacy security.
How is data secured from misuse when transmitted over the Internet?
Data is protected by modern global encryption protocols. The connection is encrypted using the AES 256 bit standard with a message authentication algorithm and key exchange mechanism. It would take a supercomputer 1.8 billion years to decrypt the 256 bit algorithm. Your data in the cloud is completely secure.
Do we need our own server?
No, just an internet connection is sufficient.
We have our own cloud storage, can we run the system on our cloud?

Yes. You can install all Aktion cloud solutions, be it attendance, access or remote control, yourself using the user manual or video tutorials.
If we don't want to install the system ourselves, can we order the installation (assembly)?
Yes, you can order an installation by our technician, either in the basic (installation of the device) or extended version (installation of the device + software setup).
Is there anything to pay for the purchase of the system (annual, license/service fees?
If you order a time and attendance system, you pay monthly or annually for the cloud service depending on the number of registered employees. The service includes software license, updates and technical support.
Can your system be linked to our payroll software?
Yes, the system can be manually linked to virtually any system (using CSV, XLS, RTF, etc.)
